Hanada Orphanage

We have proudly supported Hanada, a local orphanage, since 2018. What began as weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables evolved in 2025, when Hanada established its own vegetable garden.

Today, we continue our support by providing regular deliveries of mealie meal, helping ensure the children have a reliable source of this essential staple.

Collections for Conservation

Each year we release a new animal collection where proceeds from sales go direct to Zambian Carnivore Programme.

Their mission is to conserve Zambia's large carnivores and the ecosystems they reside in. Through science, action and strengthening local leadership.

So far we have sold out of 2 limited edition collections, so when you see Kalango in stock - buy it quick!!

CREATIVE HANDS AROUND ZAMBIA

Crafted by Refugees

In 2021, we began working with MADE51, travelling to refugee settlements across Zambia to support artisans in creating handcrafted home décor and helping to build sustainable livelihoods where employment opportunities were limited.

This first project has now come to a close, with the majority of the group offered the opportunity to return to the Democratic Republic of the Congo after it was deemed safe to do so.

While we're sad to see the project end, we're incredibly hopeful that many have now been reunited with family and friends as they begin this exciting new chapter.

The Glass Recycling Project

Our recycled glass journey began in 2018 with Mwamba Kasonde, a kiln and plenty of experimentation.

What started with learning to cut discarded bottles into tumblers and simple vases has grown into one of our most creative collections.

Over the years we've refined our techniques, explored kiln forming and expanded the range to include chandeliers, wall hangings and other handcrafted home décor.

By giving waste glass a second life, we're helping reduce landfill while creating beautiful pieces inspired by Zambia.

Best of all, every recycled glass purchase helps support Conservation South Luangwa, helping to protect the wildlife and landscapes that inspire so much of what we create.
