Papiko
CUSTOMER FAVOURITE
Papiko, meaning ‘wing’ in Chinyanja, was designed by Jennifer Jarvis and initially intended as a limited edition. Due to its popularity, it became a permanent collection, featuring new bird designs and a fresh colourway.
As the longest collection to go through our workshop, each piece takes hours to hand-paint, with 36 colours carefully mixed by hand. A portion of the proceeds goes to Bird Watch Zambia, supporting the conservation of local birdlife.

Tribal Cloth Crimson
A FESTIVE COLLECTION
Tribal Cloth is our signature collection, inspired by Mali Mudcloth patterns and one of the first designs to come out of the Tribal workshop. It was designed by Gillie Lightfoot, founder of Tribal Textiles and in 2024 we released it in a new red colourway. This collection also comes in rich indigo blues.

Zobisika
COLLECTION FOR CONSERVATION
Introducing Zobisika – the latest animal collection from the Tribal workshop, created by Nicola Le Rougetel and in-house designer Jennifer Jarvis.
Inspired by the wildlife of South Luangwa, the design weaves together local creatures and mopani leaves, reflecting the meaning of its name, 'Hidden' in Chinyanja.
With every purchase, a portion is donated to the Zambian Carnivore Programme and Conservation South Luangwa.

Kuba Blues
NEW COLOURWAY
Kuba Blues is a new colourway in our Kuba collection, designed by in-house designer Jennifer Jarvis and inspired by her time working with Congolese refugees in the Mantapala settlement.
Drawing from the bold, graphic patterns they wove, the collection reinterprets the striking shapes of traditional Kuba cloth in rich blue tones – a contemporary take on Congo’s iconic textile heritage.

Featuring simple, striking line work depicting carnivore faces, the collection is brought to life in vibrant colours and donates a portion of sales to the Zambian Carnivore Programme.

Mkupo
LATEST COLLECTION RELEASE
Originally named Raw Hide and designed by Abi James (now Founder of Soul Design Jewellery), the Mkupo Collection was reimagined in 2023 by in-house designer Jennifer Jarvis. Named after the Chinyanja word for ‘skin,’ it draws inspiration from the textures and patterns of elephant, giraffe, and leopard found in South Luangwa.
Now featuring softer tones and new multi-print designs, Mkupo celebrates the beauty of Zambia’s wildlife in a modern, understated style.

Originally launched at the Zambian Art and Design Show, the collection is now available online and in-store.
Inspired by traditional Malian mud cloth, Matika explores new techniques – layering batik and scraping away patterns with sticks to create textured, earthy designs.

Kuba
