Zambia
We are based in the small rural town of Mfuwe, in South Luangwa, Zambia.
We have three stores. One by the national park gate, one at the airport (with our workshop located inbetween) and one in the capital city Lusaka.

Each of our home decor products is made by hand with respect for the environment and people.
From design to production, we minimise our environmental impact by sourcing locally, using sustainable materials, and repurposing waste.
KEEPING IT SUSTAINABLE
What Goes Into Sustainable Decor
100% GMO-free Cotton
Our 100% GMO-free cotton is sourced from our nearest supplier in neighbouring Zimbabwe, helping us keep transport distances as low as possible.
Environmentally Friendly Paints
The paints we use are environmentally friendly. We provide supporting chemical documentation during our ethical practice assessments to verify that they are safe to use and minimise environmental harm.
Natural Batik Process
Our batik resist paste is 100% natural, made simply from flour and water. Once removed from the fabric, it either goes to our local banana paper factory or feeds the monkeys if they get there first!
Minimal Waste
We carefully calculate our products so that there is minimal waste during the cutting process.Any excess is made into smaller products or used as cushion filling.
Our paint is remixed into new colours and usually we are left with one small pot of grey by the end of the season, which we use to repaint signs or furniture.

Heart Of The Community
Community is at the core of everything we do. Based in South Luangwa, we create local employment, support conservation and invest in community initiatives.
We strive to strengthen our small, rural community by providing artisans with opportunities, creatively supporting conservation, and investing in local initiatives.
Hanada Orphanage & Malimba Community School
Supporting our local community is something we deeply care about.
We helped set up Malimba Community School and continue to fund teacher salaries and improvements, alongside our ongoing support for Hanada Orphanage near our workshop in South Luangwa.
