Based in Mfuwe, Zambia, Chipembele is a grassroots conservation charity dedicated to educating and inspiring local youth to become passionate protectors of wildlife. Through school programs, field trips, and wildlife rescue initiatives, they provide hands-on learning that connects young people to the natural world and builds a future generation of conservation leaders.
Our Glass Recycling Project
At Tribal Textiles, we run a small-scale glass recycling workshop where we collect discarded beer, wine and champagne bottles and transform them into beautiful, functional products.
Every piece is hand-cut and kiln-formed on site in Mfuwe, supporting sustainable practices and reducing waste. A portion of profits from the sale of these platters are donated to Chipembele, with nearly $5,000 raised so far.
