Conservation South Luangwa's K9 Unit
Over a decade ago, CSL established Zambia’s first conservation K9 Unit in partnership with Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife and supported by Working Dogs for Conservation.
This specialised team, which consists of five dogs and nine handlers, is dedicated to detecting illegal wildlife products and tracking wildlife crime suspects.
Get Involved
The illegal wildlife trade is a major threat to many species in South Luangwa. With your support, you can help CSL’s extraordinary dogs and their handlers to intercept trafficked wildlife products before they reach the black market.
These dogs are essential allies in the fight against poaching and we hope that they will continue to play a vital role in the protection of wildlife and habitats in Zambia long into the future.
