Crafted by the artisans from the Luangwa Artisan Collective, this one-of-a-kind placemat is made from natural palm leave that surrounds our local community here in Zambia.

They are so gorgeous that you can also use them as wall art, which is why each of them comes with a string at the back to attach to a hook or nail. Shall you wish to use them as table décor, just undo the tie.

I love the woven placemats with patterns! I purchased four sun and four checkered pattern ones. I can easily mix and match them, and they are a great size! Tribal Textiles have fabulous artisans, and they make products with the soul of Africa made right in them. Thank you!

As of 2024 we have a total of 30 Luangwa Artisan Collective members.

From weavers and wood carvers to artists and metal-smiths, the Luangwa Artisan Collective is made up of independent and talented master artisans.

Based in South Luangwa, where jobs are scarce, they are dedicated to improving their skills to make a living from their art and passion.
