Matika Mustard Linear Cushion Cover

Matika’ means ‘mud’ in the local Chinyanja dialect in our remote corner of Zambia. The collection is inspired by mud cloth and the patterns are reflected in our signature batik technique.

  • Made from 100% GMO-free cotton fabric sourced in Africa.
  • Vent opening used for closure at the back
  • Each piece can vary slightly due to its handcrafted nature
  • Hand wash cold or machine washes on a gentle cycle, maximum 30 degrees Celsius. No tumble-dry.
  • Iron inside out on low temperature setting
  • Sold without insert

I visited Tribal Textiles store end of 2019 just before heading home after having visited South Luangwa NP. I was pleasently surprised by al the beautful textiles, colors and designs. I bought an apron then (still using itüòÑ).
When I moved to my new appartement I decide to have an African themed bedroom, and I purchased five different cushion covers as the finishing touch. The colors are even more vivid than expected and I am very happy with the final result!
