Our ever popular Papiko Collection cushions feature beautiful birds as found in our home, the Luangwa valley. This Malachite Kingfisher is hand painted and drawn our special batik method.

SMALL 46cm x 46cm -or- Approx. 18" x 18" 
MEDIUM 60cm x 60cm -or- Approx 24" x 24" 

CARE 
  • Made from 100% GMO-free cotton fabric sourced in Africa.
  • As each piece is handmade, slight variations in colour, pattern and finish are part of its unique character.
  • Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not tumble dry.
  • Iron inside out or on the reverse side using a low-temperature setting.
  • Cushion covers are sold without inserts.
  • All cushion covers feature a vent opening at the back for closure.

Each of our unique textiles is thoughtfully hand-painted by local artisans in South Luangwa, Zambia, using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Our work goes beyond fair wages. Through our home handcraft workshop, we create meaningful employment, reinvest in initiatives that strengthen our local community and contribute to wildlife conservation across the Luangwa Valley.

    We contribute to conservation efforts by donating to the Zambian Carnivore Program (ZCP) and Conservation South Luangwa (CSL).
